Hello, I own a trailer sales and service, and I'm trying to make something. We have a rolling cart with the capability of hooking to any trailer, and it would act like the vehicle. We have a battery on it, and it has switches and indicators for the individual functions. Example, I hook to a trailer, and turn on the switch for the marker lights, all of the marker lights come on. The indicators on the cart are all incandescent bulbs. This matters because when you turn on the marker lights and have a trailer connected that has a ground issue, other lights on the test cart light up as the current is trying to make it's way back to ground, and we know there is a ground issue with the trailer.
I'm making another one of these carts, because it's needed. My issue is that it'll have all LED lights on it, that are polarity dependent. SO, if the trailer in question has a ground error, it will not light the additional lights like the original cart does.
Does anyone have any information on how I might connect a light to show there is a ground issue with the trailer, or other ideas aside from using bulb fixtures? I'm just coming up with nothing in my searches, as I probably am not searching for the correct term. Any assistance or information in the right direction would be super appreciated. Thank you so much!

Well, I guess never mind! Built the cart, and the LEDs I used were low enough in start voltage that they light up if there is a ground issue.
