So I have a 05 Kia Sportage, 5speed. I can't find a hole through the fire wall. And I need to know a SAFE and EASY location to run wires through. Any and all help would be GREAT!

if you can send me a pic of the under side of the firewall I can help you much better. there should be a boot you can go through near the steering column pass through.

I am thinking there is an area above the throttle cable definitely check from inside motor compartment. Follow the throttle cable 2005 Kia Sportage, Hole Through Firewall -- posted image.

This took me a while to figure out and yes I understand this is an older post but I figured I would share anyway. I have a 2007 Kia Sportage. First take off the two trim pieces at the bottom of the drivers side door opening and you'll see a grommet along the yellow wiring harness. The second grommet is inside the wheel well so you have to take off the splash guard but once its removed you can pop that grommet out and run a wire hanger down to the other grommet and pull your wire through, it's a little tricky. Next run the wire up through the wheel well and into the engine compartment. The grommets were large enough to put a 4g wire through easily and possibly up to a 0. No drill required just a hanger, some electrical tape and a box cutter.
