On your GMC, Pink is the Ignition wire, Orange is the Accessory wire, and Purple is the Starter wire. No "Accessory 2" is listed for your vehicle.
To answer your question "So I need to connect all the heavy duty remote start wires?" the answer is NO. You only make the connections necessary to make your installation work (make the vehicle run). Aftermarket Alarms and Remote Starts are designed to work with a wide variety of vehicles so many features and connections are available to cover the installations that need them. You will almost always have unused wires when an install is complete.
