Honestly, I’m trying to find out why I am unable to turn the vehicle off, using the remote while remote start is activated. One press of the RS button starts the engine. Shouldn’t I be able to turn it off with the remote? I have tried one, two, and multiple presses to do this, with no success. It doesn’t make any difference wether I lock the doors with the remote, or manually lock them. Also makes no difference which remote I use, came with 2 remotes. One remote is a 2 button( unlock and start) and the other is a 4 button (lock, unlock, start, and trunk).
Could this be a programming issue? With the “instructions “ that came with it, it says it has this capability. Everything else seems to function properly.

So the way to debug this is to strip back to the "Basic" starter connections. From your first email, you hooked up the following:
On the 5 pin harness, I connected all 5.
on the 10 pin, I connected 2, 4, 5, I believe
On the 6 Pin, I used all 6
The 10 pin connector's pin 2 (White/Blue-instant start) is not a required connection and can enable the remote start if a ground pulse is detected on the wire.
Did you disconnect the White/Blue Wire? What was the result?

have you tried holding down the remote start button for 3 seconds or more to shutdown the car?
