For those of you who either have this alarm or maybe have exposure to those with it, does it seem to 'suffer' from interference problems?  I've seen it mentioned the hornet 554t is  AM instead of FM based and that since AM is more prone to interference it might be a problem staying 'connected' to your alarm.

I'm just trying to get a sense of how bad that might be or if it really happens at all.     Also if you know what your typical real world range is in open ground and through obstructions (buildings, parking deck etc) could you let me know.

I haven't had any problems. The range may be senstive to the installation location, factory and aftermarket glass tint, and vertical and horizontal direction of the antenna. The real world range that i have noticed is three inner city blocks. Long enough for me.

Sometimes the range indicator goes off the lcd even when within 20 feet from the car and when you press the lock button it comes back on and sometimes it comes on and then goes off again . When checking the temp. it sometimes takes long to give a reading if the rang indicator is off . i notice the rang indicator is on for a good quarter mile but if you try to transmit to the alarm it take forever to respond. you have to keep pressing and pressing...
