I haven't seen a 5305 but if it's like other Viper units you will want to run the Black/White wire on the White 24 Pin harness to Chassis Ground to allow a R/S. Assuming your truck has an Auto Trans. Include the kit supplied switch if you want an easy Valet Mode. You could connect it to the Emergency Brake wire if you normally set the Parking Brake.
Soldering is fun!

Thank you, I have some relays coming tomorrow ill give that a try once they get here. Is it normally necessary to have to power the acc2 wire? I have seen other installs where nothing was connected to the brown wire. Is it vehicle specific or does it depend on what type of accessories package you have in your vehicle?
Pretty much depends on the vehicle. It does handle various accessory circuits. I usually power it just to duplicate a normal ignition switch sequence.

Yeah my truck is automatic. I seen the valet switch but wasn't going to connect it cause there was no directions on where it goes. If i connect it to the parking brake does that mean i have to apply the parking brake in order to use the switch?

Yes, the Viper must see Chassis Ground on the Black/White wire to allow a R/S. With an A/T vehicle most installers go right to Chassis Ground. You must use the Parking Brake for a M/T vehicle.
