How to Adapt Car Alarm to WWII Jeep Application?

Hi. I am wiring up a 12v WWII jeep. It has no key switch for starter. What I am trying to do is provide a keyless remote activated power shutoff functionality. I plan to use a power latching relay like the TE V23136-L31-D642. This relay handles 70A which will handle everything except the starter. If I place it inline in the power wire to the ammeter, it will control all power to the vehicle. So I'd like to use the lock/unlock functionality of an alarm module to toggle the latching relay on and off. The Jeep also had latches on the glovebox and tool boxes. I'd like to have those lock and unlock as well. I don't want a momentary solenoid like used to pop a truck. Rather, something like a door lock actuator. Or perhaps a locking bolt, if such a thing exists. So it would be either locked or unlocked. Something smaller than a door lock actuator would be great, doesn't need much power. It would only have to engage/disengage a blocking mechanism to the latches, or push/pull a locking bolt. Lastly, some sort of alarm would be great. However, there is no keyed ignition, doors, windows or dome light. I don't know if a motion or shock sensor might work, or if there is some other clever solution. I'd like to use a relatively simple and durable alarm or locking module to accomplish the above. I'm just a little worried about having the proper outputs to toggle the latching relay. I am pretty good with wiring, relays and other electronics, but not familiar with car alarms. Some recommendations for a unit that would would work well would be greatly appreciated. pretty much any modern car alarm will have the outputs you need i.e. factory arm/disarm wires. as far as cutting all power the alarm itself will need obviously constant uncut power. there are small door lock actuators redily available on amazon as well.Gary Sather

Can you suggest a model of alarm that has good documentation and support? The latching relay uses reversing current to lock and unlock, sort of like what you would expect a door lock actuator to need. Ie lock + -   unlock - + I don't think I need a real complicated or expensive one, just creative use of the outputs. Which is where good documentation comes in handy...

Any viper alarm. For instance the 350 plus is a good all around 1 way alarm and keyless entry with many features. :)Gary Sather
