Hiring Emergency Vehicle Technician, Maple Grove, MN

Action Fleet a leader in the Automotive up-fitting industry is currently seeking an installation technician for our Maple Grove facility. You will work in our clean, climate controlled facility. Job Description: Installation and repair of fleet accessories, including emergency lighting, radios, computers, push-bumpers, etc. in Automobiles, ATV's/UTV's and various equipment. A basic understanding of 12 volt electrical systems is a benefit to this position as well as a mechanical aptitude. This is a very hands on position. The position is 8am to 4:30pm M-F. (If you tinker with cars, stereo's or alarms as a hobby and enjoy it, you may be a great candidate for this position.) Position Responsibilities: Installation of Automotive and ATV/UTV accessories (electrical, electronic and mechanical). Read and understand electronic/electrical drawings, schematics, manuals and documentation. Ability to learn and put to use various test equipment. Requires computer skills at a functioning proficiency. Must be capable of work on your own and in a team environment. Effective communicator. Self-motivating a necessity. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. MECP, EVT and other industry standard certifications are a plus. Metal fabrication and woodworking experience is a plus. (Please note any experience you have doing similar things even if it was on your own/friends vehicle) Must pass a pre-employment background check & have a current active Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
