I've been searching and cannot find a difinitive answer on the best location to pull audio from?
Pre amp or post amp from factory sub wiring? (prefer this location)
Pre amp or post amp from front speakers?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the base model 14 mdx.

Note: The subwoofer wires are red - white (1); brown - gray (2) at the amplifier under center console, 24 pin plug, pins 3 - 2; 4 - 5 (without navigation) or 18 pin plug, pins 9 - 18; 8 pin plug, pins 7 - 8 (with navigation).
You must use the above wiring. That is the only speaker that gets the lower frequencies. Front door speaker will not work for what you are trying to do.

Can you clarify the wiring for non navigation model?
Am I pulling pre amp or post?
I'm not following you on which pins, sorry.
At the risk of sounding like an idiot, why can't I pull from the rear sub area? I assume it's because the frequency is higher in the rear (post amp)?

You can catch them at the sub. The wire colors will be the same at the driver or at the amplifier.

Ok great! I assume I can wire tap them just before they go into the factory sub enclosure. Is that acceptable, or should I marry them in a different fashion?
