hello, im the new kid in town and looking for guidance on how to wire a 528T pulse timer with my OEM remote keyless entry. i recently replaced my side view mirrors with a power folding mirrors. i am currently using a DPDT switch to unfold and fold them. i have 2 528T's, one for LOCK and the other for UNLOCK. i would like to utilize my keyfob so when i hit LOCK my mirrors FOLD and if i hit UNLOCK on my keyfob my mirrors UNFOLD. it is for my truck, 2011 silverado LT. see attached 2011 silverado power lock diagram.

OK, you want a door lock to fold the mirrors in and an Unlock will unfold the mirrors.
First question - When you start the truck and shift into drive, do the doors automatically lock? That could mess things up for you.
The unfold with an unlock seems to be OK, so the 528T can be used for that.
Do you presently have to hold your DPDT switch until the mirrors go into position or is it a momentary press?
How are the folding mirrors currently wired to the DPDT switch?
Soldering is fun!

that is correct, door locks when on Drive and to manually fold them i just flip my switch and vice versa to unfold them via DPDT switch.
is it ideal to use door lock switch (- input to BCM) wires ( Tan/Gray) as my trigger for fold-unfold or use wires (Lt Blu/ White) fOR Lock-Unlock Ctrl output to PCB Lock-Unlock Relay?

It is probably a better idea to use the Lock and Unlock motor wires as the 528T trigger. These are (+) signals. Here is the info :
Lock Motor             gray (except premium models)     5 wire     dash fuse box, gray 14 pin plug, pin A3 or A7
Driver Unlock Motor        tan (except premium models)     5 wire     dash fuse box, gray 14 pin plug, pin A5 or B4
I was thinking that a PAC TR-7 with a relay might work for the fold-in. You could set it for a double Lock pulse. That way you would do a double lock on the factory remote as you left the truck to fold in the mirrors and the single lock that happens when you shift into Drive won't make the mirrors fold in.

that makes more sense! what youre suggesting as far as how i want to fold unfold mirrors with doors locks on Drive is to use PAC TR-7 to FOLD Mirror set to 2 Pulses with relay and use Lock on DRIVE to Unfold mirrors out, and use Driver Lock-Unlock motor for my trigger.
thanks kreg357!

Yep. One PAC TR-7 with relay triggered by a double pulse on the Lock Motor wire for fold-in and one 528T triggered by Unlock Motor wire for unfold.
Any possible issues with the unfolded mirrors getting another unfold pulse?

Great news, good work. 👍 Programming a PAC TR7 can be a PITA sometimes.
