hi all. im looking for some help. I installed one of these many years ago and told myself i would never do it again. :) Well thought it would be nice to have a remote start with the LS swap Im doing. here is the fuse box for the stand alone harness i built. what is the best way(wire to wire). the paperwork that comes with the 5706 is very vague. I have the original purple wire from the S10 still going to the starter. The Pink wire the ran the S10 coil is going to go to the new fuse/relay panel to the pink keyed 12 volt. Does any have a actual diagram of the internal relay operation for the 5706 remote start? Thanks for any help. Viper 5706v In LS Swap, 1993 Chevrolet S-10 -- posted image.

I'm very familiar with the 1st Gen S-series, having owned 12 of them, and still own 3. Nothing really changes because of the engine swap. Your connections for the RS will still be at the ignition switch. Car Side: Red=Power, Purple=Start, Pink=Ignition, Orange=Accy1, Brown=Accy2 (Brown is wipers and radio. Some installers don't power the Brown for a RS).
The one thing you may want to research and figure out if you are using an electronic transmission like a 4l60e, or 4L80e, with a stock LS ECM. Many LS vehicles with these transmissions have a white wire at the Ignition switch that must be powered during a RS or there will be a service engine soon light, and there will be no power to trans nor line pressure control. If you're using a stock ECM for trans and engine control, this should definitely be sorted. If you're using an aftermarket system like a Holley, Edlebrock, or Big Stuff (I'm not sure BS is even still around, I'm old school)don't worry about the "white wire" as it isn't there or needed.
Everything else is pretty much the same. The LS swap doesn't change much. The RS needs the same circuits regardless of engine type. The 1st Gen does not have a Neutral Safety Switch. If your S-10 was originally a column shift automatic, there is another set of contacts on the back-up light switch that can be used for the blk/wht P/N wire for the RS neutral switch. Depending on the original engine, there may be an orn/blk and blk/wht wires on these contacts. It was used for P/N input to the ECM on certain engines.

Does this look correct. It shows a yellow wire for the starter but mine is purple.

Sorry for late reply. Yes STARTER is purple. I put that in my December 26 post.
