Hey all,
Ive been scouring the web trying to figure this out but cant seem to find any workaround. i have a pioneer DMH-130BT that i just installed into my 2010 buick lucerne. I used a Scosche SLGM20 lan stereo replacement interface and followed the directions closely. All wires are connected as required. However ill be jamming out and the head unit will mute unexpectedly, then it will unmute, then mute again, then work for a few minutes, then mute again.
Im going to unplug the steering wheel control plug since they dont seem to work now anyway and recheck my wiring and stuff after work.
Anyone else ever experience this?

Is there a mute wire on that unit? If so, it is touching ground.

yes there is a mute wire but there was no connection for it on the harness so i have it capped off. I found a few things that might be related like the possibility of it needing to be plugged into the stereo before the cars wire harness, the possibility of a bad module. Didnt want to tear into it again today because i found good parking and i dont want everyone to notice ive got a new head unit, since i live in Long Beach CA.
I looked for all the basic possibilities before i actually mounted the unit because i wanted to be one and done. Ive found the question online somewhere else but with no response.

I figured it out. There is an order in which you need to connect the module to the harness. make sure you have the module connected to the head unit and steeri9ng wheel controls before you plug it in to the cars wiring harness. now everything works great!
