In the middle of installing the Compustar Cm7000as on a 08 Honda Element. Manual Transmission. I'm having difficulty understand what that key sense wire (CN5 Connector/pin12/BROWN/WHITE) does and If I should wire it in or not. The explanation on the install manual is confusing. Any help is appreciated
Install Manual Explanation:
Pin 12 Brown/White - [PIC 3] Key Sense INPUT (-) programmable input: This input can monitor the keysense provided by the vehicle for manual transmission reservation mode, use of EZGO and/or Passive arming. There are additional options for this PIC. Please see Special Options Group 3.
-In case of reservation mode for manual transmission the keysense input will not allow the CM7 to complete reservation mode until the (-) input to the CM7 is removed.
-In case of passive arming the CM7 will monitor the keysense input and not allow the CM7 to arm/lock passively until (-) input is removed.

From reading that, it seems that it will monitor for when the key is removed from the ignition as part of the reservation mode sequence. If you never take the key out you won't be able to set it up for remote start later. The arming part just says the alarm won't passively lock the doors if the key is still in the ignition.
