Hi, I'm looking for the reverse light wire in my 2006 Ford E-450 motorhome. I know I can get it back at the reverse lights themselves, but that is a long way to run a wire on a motorhome.
I've read that it is either purple/black or light blue/white. In the driver's kick panel. I've tried both wires and am not getting a signal. I've confirmed the reverse lights work.
Thanks for any help.

Black/Pink But that looks like the wire you drew an arrow to.

The Black/pink I am pointing to, the one I tested, is twisted together with Orange/Red. So they seem to be a pair that is related. So I wasn't surprised when I didn't get a signal on the black/pink when I put it in reverse.

I also tested the thick blue/white wire next to the light blue/white wire I am pointing to in the picture.

Get to the socket of the lamp itself, the wire up front will be that same color.

It is on a regular automobile, but I don't know that it's true for a motorhome. Ford delivers the chassis to Winnebago. Winnebago does all their own lighting and wiring at the back of the motorhome they build on top of the chassis. But it's worth checking.

I couldn't find wiring for 2006. But 2005 and 2007 both show black/pink as reverse light wiring from switch on transmission. Google "ford body builder"

Thanks. Looks like I'll have to pick up the signal outside of the cab (from the transmission, as you mentioned).
