Good morning car audio enthusiasts,
I have searched online and this forum without success for an answer to my question and hoping you can quickly point me in the right direction. I'm installing 3 independent subwoofer enclosures. Two 8" Sundown U-8 (2 ohm - Dual Coil) and One 12" Sundown NEO SD-4 (2ohm - Dual Coil)
Hooked up to a Sundown SAE-2000 Watt - 1 Ohm stable amp.    I would like to wire all 3 subs to 1 ohm.
Is it possible to wire each individual sub like this picture below? Then hookup all 3 pairs of +/- to the amp. (Will the amp output 1ohm correctly if I have 3 individual subs wired to 1 ohm?)

Or will I need to cut another hole in each box to install another speaker post in order to do the series connection like the picture below?.

Looking forward for your expert advice!

I’m gonna say no it can’t be done that way. If we were able to wire speakers and subs that way there would be no need for multi channel amps. Picture your sub boxes as if they were door speakers; would you run 3 doors to one channel on an amp? You’d need a multi channel amp to run each box as its own channel or wire all 3 boxes together for a final impedance of 1.33ohm

The 1.34 ohm wiring scheme is the best solution for your desired setup.
