I have the BBW system and recently found a remote for it. I have tried three different ways to get the remote to sync with the system. The instructions with the manual, instructions on this site, instructions on a web search. As far as I know the antenna is still good. The unit will flash the LED when the brakes are pushed, but only then. I have had a person watch for the brake lights to flash the four times, and they see nothing. The remote beeps when I try to get it to sync (pushing the key button) and the antenna led lights up, but it wont do anything. BTW the hood is up on all of the tests. Mine is in a 2001 F150 Lariat 2wd AT. I have a thread started on here about the unit, but to summarize, I bought the truck with it in it and found it afterwards. The original owners had it put in and told me they didnt have any remotes for it (they didnt say they did not know it was installed in the truck) so that route was a loss. I have the install manual and the user manual, the unit has been off since I found it back in 2017 (it was on when I found out the truck had it), and I was wondering if it being off for that long would render it back to factory new install of the unit and it will need to be reprogrammed all over again? There is this little red push button behind the powefr switch, can anyone tell me what it is for? It is wired into the harness to the module. Cant find it in the install manual.

Ok, so I am guessing right? There is not one person on here that is able to give me direction? Do you need more information?
