I am finishing up a custom built 1936 chevy coupe. I only have door lock wiring for keyless entry and door switches to complete and I'll be finished, but have run into a problem that I have labored over now for a week and the problem is beyond me. Here is what I have and what I have done; I purchased a universal keyless entry door lock kit that includes a master and slave (came with 3 slaves but only need 1 as this is a 2 door coupe) and associated electronic door lock plungers. I wired this up according to the really bad instructions provided and it actually works just fine. I then wired in a set of relays, 1 for lock and 1 for unlock, using a diagram for a 5 wire reverse polarity switch. This was installed on the drivers door and worked great. At this point the drivers door switch ONLY and both doors would operate from the keyless entry fob, both lock and unlock just fine. Now comes the problem. When I tried wiring the passenger side door to complete this installation it all went south. In the begining of this project I purchased a universal, top end brand, body wiring harness for entire project. The harness came with door lock wiring for both doors but on a common circuit (in otherwords only 1 fuse to protect both power door lock circuits). I have tried several ways to wire the remaining passenger door side lock switch, but it either blows the fuse or the lock plunger just sort of "bumps" if this makes sense. I tried wiring in a second set of relays for the passenger door both in "reverse polarity" and "positive" lock system. Still getting same results. I tried just tying in the wiring from main harness, through switch, and onto plunger. This only results in the lock plunger bumping (like it doesn't know what to do). At this point I have no clue where to go from here. Any advise you have would be greatly appreciated as I am stumped and wanting to get this build off to upholster. I have looked over so many wiring diagrams on this site that I have become confused on what to do. I tried finding a wiring diagram for my issue on this site and many others to no avail. I feel like I am missing something simple, but just don't know what it is.
