I have a 2014 Toyota Tundra with a Viper RS/Alarm. Why do I have to use my factory key fob to unlock the doors before I perform a remote start. When I try to start my Tundra before using the factory key fob the horn goes off but when I unlock my doors first with factory key fob and then remote start the horn doesn't start honking.
Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

Did you install this, or was it installed elsewhere? What model Viper? What bypass are you using? If you unlock with the Viper remote rather than the factory remote can you remote start?
Depending on the model, there should be an option to unlock prior to start, lock after start (or similar).

RS/Alarm 5706V. Verifying the bypass. It was installed by someone else. RS works regardless of unlocking with factory key fob or viper key fob. The issue is the horn will go off if remote start is performed prior to unlocking with factory key fob.

You can use one of the aux outputs to pulse the factory disarm. Then link that output to remote start. Look at options in Menu 2.

The guy that installed the bypass said he used Directed bypass but doesn't remember the model. Are you referring to the viper programming menu 2 options? Could you elaborate more on how to use one of the aux outputs to pulse the factory disarm? Where is this connected to?

Yes, Viper Menu 2, item 10 (or 12/14/16 depending on which aux output you're using), option 5 (link to remote start).
Typically, wichever aux is available gets connected to the factory disarm wire. I'm realizing now that Directwire says this requires a double pulse and also unlocks the vehicle: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=130779#688279
To disarm without unlocking, pulse the key sense wire (black wire pin 5 at white 10 pin plug at BCM).
