I recently bought a used car that has an old Autostart 1775 kit installed. Lock/unlock on the fob work but the remote start doesn't. The vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, the yellow loop on the module is not cut. I have gone through the steps of setting up ready mode and the remote start will work one time directly after setting up ready mode but then never again. If I go through the ready mode procedure again, it'll do the same (remote start once but never again). The times it won't remote start the parking lights turn on but then turn back off. The ignition does not "turn on" during that time. For it to remote start directly after setting up ready mode, this tells me ready mode was done successfully. I have tried various methods to see if it would work (pressing the remote start button once, twice, three times, pressing lock first, pressing unlock first etc.
I'm stumped as to why it will only remote start directly after going through ready mode but then never again. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if I understand your question.
Ready Mode must be set up every time to the vehicle is shutdown to enable a R/S.
Any chance you are doing something to the car after setting up Ready Mode? Ready Mode will be exited if any door is opened. (If the install was done correctly all vehicle access points must be monitored and remain closed to ensure a safe R/S.)
I have heard of some brands of vehicles that send pulses out on the Door Trigger wires as computers go to sleep that will confuse aftermarket alarm systems. Perhaps this is happening and causing the R/S to exit Ready Mode.

This is what I mean by setting up ready mode.
All of those steps below go through even the final step the parking lights do flash twice. It will then remote start but only once. If I repeat the steps below, it will remote start but again, only once.
All doors are closed, vehicle locked. It doesn't seem like it's an access point problem, I would assume if it was, it wouldn't remote start the one time directly after setting up ready mode. Vehicle in question is a 2012 Subaru Impreza if that helps.

Still slightly confused. I understand setting Ready Mode, Compustar calls it Reservation Mode.
If you set Ready Mode you can successfully do a R/S. This can be immediately after setting Ready Mode or several days later, if the cars status doesn't change (doors, trunk, brake, parking brake or IGN ON). Your problem is setting Ready Mode, doing a R/S, letting it run through the set run time and shutting down (or doing a manual shutdown) and then trying to do another R/S?
I'm not an Autostart user but perhaps the designers thought that an end user would set Ready Mode, R/S the vehicle, get in and drive away. When the end user next parked the vehicle, he would set Ready Mode again for the next time. It's probable that R/S'ing the vehicle and that process turning on the IGN would end/exit Ready Mode even if the customer never opened a door.

The problem is after setting up ready mode, the car will remote start one single time. Any remote start request after, will not command a remote start. I have set up ready mode, remote started the system, got in the vehicle, drove off, parked, locked the system with the fob, the tried another remote start (doesn't matter how long after) and it won't remote start. Doesn't even try to.
I have also done the above, let it run through the set time and having it automatically shut down and it will not remote start.
The manual for the system says after setting up ready mode the vehicle will remote start after without setting up ready mode again.
There is a trouble shooting chart in the manual with parking light flash codes but I don't get any flash codes on the failed remote starts.
It seems to me like it's loosing the ready mode memory. The manual says if the vehicle remote starts after setting up ready mode then ready mode has been completed successfully.
I know you're confused, I am aswell!

I'm with Kreg here. Regardless what the manual says, it's likely a typo.
You need to set this up every time. Otherwise someone will forget, remote start in gear and drive it into another car or a building.
