I have installed my Viper 5706, in my 2000 Firebird, but have ran into a issue. I started to test everything by key starting the car first, which works. I then tried to lock and unlock with the viper remote. The car locks normally, then when I press unlock, the factory alarm sounds and the remote will not unlock the door or disarm the factory alarm. I had a previously installed python alarm from 2005 installed that died on me last year, so I essentially did a one for one swap. The python that was in the car previously, locked and unlocked normally, prior to the complete failure. No wiring was messed with when it died or since, until this install. Any help is appreciated.

Update: now the factory alarm goes off as soon as I attach the battery cable to the car. When I was first wiring this thing up, I started with the heavy power wires (10 pin) first. After that I wired up the main harness (6 pin). Then I was able to key start the vehicle, so I called it a night. The next day I connected the aux/shutdown/trigger harness, or at least the 4 wires that I had previously installed with the python RS. Finally, I plugged in the control center, the door lock, and the shock sensor and let them hang to try the unlock/lock test. This is when I found that the system would lock the doors but not unlock them and also set the alarm. I have since removed the control center, shock sensor, door lock, and aux harness. The car just automatically alarms now as soon as I hookup the battery cables. I'm at a loss on what to try next.
