I am trying to get this to work w/no luck. 2014 Toyota 4runner with push to start. Installing a Compustar CM-900-AS with ADS Blade. I followed the idata link Guide Number: 78382 and did not hook up the "Idle mode" BLUE/YELLOW - PTS (-) OUTPUT. (what does this do and do I need to)? Currently I get 5 red flashes from the Blade. Tried several time to reset by holding the button and inserting while waiting on the reset.
My other question, what is necessary to hook up on the CM-900 for the CN1 and CN3 wires exactly?
Many Thanks,
Eric

First a dumb question. Did you flash the Blade-AL cartridge with the correct, Blade-AL TL2 firmware?
It is not necessary to connect the (-) PTS Output wire. It would only be needed if you wanted "Idle Mode", also known as PitStop Mode.
You want to follow the Type 2 Install wiring from the Blade-AL w/TL2 firmware Install Guide. The info on the R/S controller is deliberately vague / generic.
With the CM900-AS controller here are the wires you need to connect :
CN1 Thick wires
The Red and Red/White are joined together, fused down to a single 10 Amp fuse and connected to a suitable +12V constant source.
The Black wire goes to a solid, rust free Chassis ground location via a soldered on Terminal ring.
The Green (+) Ignition wire gets a 1N4001 diode with the stripe towards the CM900-AS and connected as shown in the Type 2 diagram.
The CN3 connector :
The Green/White (-) Parking Light wire goes to the Red wire at the ECU 30 Pin connector as shown.
You might need to use the Gray/Black Hood Pin wire if your vehicle does not have a Factory Alarm / Hood Pin.
This an important safety feature and should be used. Also ground the CN2 Orange/Black wire
The Type 2 diagram shows the Blade CN2 connector wiring.
With a PTS vehicle there is no need to run in Tach Mode so set the CM9800-AS option 2-10 to 4. You can do this when you flash the Blade-AL cartridge.
Soldering is fun!

Ok, I followed all the right steps, so that’s a start. I found two things after confirming the above. One of the blade wires (Can L) slipped from the connector due to a broken pin lock. The big one was unplugging all the factory remote start plugs. The one that got me was at the passenger foot well. It’s a T-harness, so I unplugged it and didn’t plug in the original harness which is there. Thank you for the fast response and assistance.
