Hello.
I am a noob to fiberglass and want to make the captioned container for making a 48vdc lead acid battery for my offgrid solar power system. The container is to house a 2.2vdc cell made out of 39 plates used in automotive SLI batteries. Six of these cells make a 12 vdc battery. 4 such batteries in series will give me 48 vdc for my home solar system. Each cell has a calculated volume so that sufficient electrolyte is available thus making the cell deep discharge capable.
I need to use acid resistant resin for making the container for obvious reason. So I would need advice on the most acid resistant plus cost effective resin.
The container has to have a lid with slots for the cell's (+) and (-) terminals plus a hole in the center for filling electrolyte.
I would like to start the ball rolling for my guidance. Any questions in this regard are therefore more than welcome. I can draw up a model on Tinkercad to make things clearer.
The size of the container is 18cms x 18cms and 19 cms in height.
TIA
