Help!...

Here is what I am trying to do.  I just bought a 2000 Ford Mustang GT Convertible.  And I want to have the ability to Press 1 Button and all of the windows and the roof go down at the same time.

Someone had told me to use 2 DEI 530T moduals however this will make only the 4 windows go down together.

How can I add the Convertible Top to this.  Also, Having this ability from the alarm remote will be very cool .. however can I add a switch inside the car so that  I have the ability to do use this feature w/ out using my alarm remote?  I want to be able to Hit this button again and everything is going to close up.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

You will need to get a 4 window module & then get a DEI 529T ( I think this is the single for the sunroof applications ) for the roof. You will then need to use separate AUX channels for this as well.

Hey, I have an 03 mustang GT Vert.  Before i got the car i had the same idea you had - push a button and everything goes up/down.  The problem is, with the convertible top, you have to unlatch the hooks to put it down, and relatch them once it is closed.  if you push a button while its latched, your likely to kill the motor, and even if you were to push a button for the top to go up, it wont be latched shut, so whats the point?   I like the window idea, im going to make all 4 of my windows go up or down with one touch.  I found an article about it which might help - http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/hitech/rdtch1.htm

I always unlatch first then hit the button for a second and then relatch the latches. So that won't be a problem.
I beleive that you can use 2 DEI 530Ts or I'm looking at an Omega AV-93-4 for $40 that will do all 4 up or down. I'm going to post later and see if anyone has an option on this module.

Thats cool if your sitting in your car, and press a button, the top goes up and you latch them, but the impression i got was that he wanted to get out of his car, and set the alarm while he was walking away which would put up the windows, which would work, but as for putting up the top, it wouldnt latch them.  I agree its annoying to hold the button down to put the top up or down, so one touch could be nice.  I just wanted to make sure he realized he would have to latch/unlatch the top before hitting a button on his alarm remote.

Yes I understand that there would deffinatly be the latching and un latching.

Thats a problem  to be solved at another time.

Assentially what I want to do is this.

From the inside of the car un latch the roof and press a button and everything goes down at once.  eventually I would like to figure out how to make the latches auto latching (maybe ford will figure this out for us and put it in a new model or something, or perhaps we can take it off of another car and adapt it to the mustang.

Also .. the main reason why I would love to have this all from a remote.  When I am at work I can leave my roof un latched the only reason I really close my roof is to prevent the interior from fading and also keeping all the crap out.

Here is what I understand to work.

DEI 530T Which is the for the 4 windows.

DEI 528T which is the Timer relay for the convert top.
