Today, my alarm (clifford intelliguard 6000) went off for no reason. No one tried to open the door, no one hit the car, etc.... But the alarm started to go off.

After disarming the alarm, I read LED flashed and found trunk/hood trigger was what made my alarm go off. However, no one even touched the hood or trunk. Plus, trunk/hood trigger is hooked up to stock alarm wiring so if someone did try to open the trunk/hood, my stock alarm would've gone off too. But it didn't.

So what caused this? Is something wrong with my alarm? or is it possible that I have loose connection at trunk/hood trigger wiring?

What do you think? By the way, car is 1992 Lexus ls400 . Thanks!

This here is the important clue. I would suggest installing a new hood pin. Cliffords' are pretty sensitive to slight current changes where triggers are concerned.
being wet is also a possibility but, I would change the pin anyway.

Thanks for your reply guys. When it happened, it wasn't raining nor wet.

But I'll check the pins. However, if the pins are damaged/worn, and it if did sent some slight current, it should've triggered stock alarm too right? Or like chasesaccesori said, maybe because Clifford is too sensitive?
