remote start problem

I just installed an alarm with remote start and when i try to start the truck the motor turns over but will not start??? this is a 02 dodge ram... is there somthing I am overlooking?does this truck have to have a bypass transponder? I sure need some help.......thanks alan

You need a transponder key for sure.

I dont have a grey key though....it seens as though the fuel is locked out...anit thefth?

go to links and pull up Bulldog Security. They can sell you the key you need. I'm sure others can get you one too.
Thats the thing about transponders. They are the OEM's cheep way of security. designed to shut things off on the vehical.

make sure u program tach, also 02 rams have an extra accessory wire that needs to be powered up via a relay, make sure you have the right ignition wires too... theres my 2 cents... do this....

put the key in in turn it all the way, right before crank.. then w/ the key in and turned hot the remote start, if it starts up, you missed a wire, or you need a bypass... if it still does the same thing, check the tach is programmed and make sure everything else is connected properly.
