Remote start relay

I need some help on a remote start. ok my car needs a second ignition and the instruction book says i need a 12v @ 2 AMPS MAX! RELAY REQUIRED. does anyone know the relay setup for that?

Use this relay diagram : Second Ignition relay Diagram . If your RS has a designated 2nd IGN output (-), then use it instead of the GROUND OUT WHEN RUNNING WIRE on the diagram. Use a 30 amp fuse for pin 86 & 87.

so basically pin 85 I ground it to the body if the my second ignition is (-)?

Pin 85 is your triggering (-) input. Whenever pin 85 receives a (-) signal it will flip the relay closed and connect 87 & 30 together. If you ground it to the body, this relay will stay on forever until the battery drains. Only use the (-) trigger from the remote starter that will turn off when you take over the remote start sequence with your key and press the brake.

so i can hook it up to the distributor wire (-) from the remote start?

What system are you installing ? If this " distributor wire (-) " is an output only when remote started, then yes, you can use it. If this is an input wire, then DO NOT USE.

its a no name brand, i didnt mean the distributor one it says.... Optinal Coil Detect Input....attach the (-) Negative side of coil or vacuum switch. I'll just tell u my problem maybe u can help, the remote makes the car start but it shuts off right away and start it again etc.... it wont stay on so i wa thinking it need the second ignition but i dunno. Any advice?
