I just purchased a Pioneer CD deck to replace the stock Infinity casette deck in my 95 LHS. I already mounted the deck and hooked up all wiring except the speakers using a Chrysler harness, however almost every radio installer I asked tells me I have to bypass the infinity amp (which is actually called spatial imaging as printed on the amp) because the Pioneer deck cannot drive it. Is this true or they just saying it so I bring in the car for them? I've been trying to locate wiring diagrams for the amp/speaker circuitry but cannot find it anywhere. Searching for the amp model number did not yield any results, seems like no one has published information on it. I'm sure the dealer will not give me one either. This system has 7 speakers (2 rear, 3 front on dash and 2 in the front doors). Now the amp has very strange outputs, a high and a low for each channel. In other words LO Rear Left and HI Rear left. The rear speakers have 4 wire connections. The front ones have only 2 but I'm sure they are connected by some crossover or bridge since there are 5 total speakers driven by two channels.

My question is can I just do a direct replacement using the harness? Or if not, where can I get a wiring diagram so that I don't have to rip the dashboard open? Also, how can I hook up the 4 wire speaker to my new deck which only has 2 wire outputs?

I would greatly appreciate any help or info anyone can give me.

Thanks....

The deck should have 2 harnesses in the rear, one BLACK and one GREY. You need to hook up the LIGHT GREEN wire on the factory BLACK plug to the Pioneer's remote turn on lead to power up the amplifier.
