I am fixing to buy an in dash dvd player with monitor or just in dash monitor receiver. I have 1500 hundred to spend on it.  I was thinking about buying either the kenwood kvt-m700 or the sony xav-7w. I was going to do that and then get a sony or kenwood cd changer. I was going to hook up the already installed PS2 into either receiver. I was then going to add two 10" subs and an amp. Do you all have any suggestions. thanks

You are going to have some minor problems if you have the Mach system trying to integrate the new HU to the OEM system. You will need to purchase vaious harnesses to integrate the two units together . You can run new wires to the speakers as well if you so choose.

Both the units are about the same except that the Sony has the 7 band EQ and the Kenwood deck is 2 watts per channel more than the Sony. Other than that the two systems are equal except in price of course. The Sony is about $ 100.00 cheaper than the Kenwood is.

My personal choice would be the Kenwood as I like the looks of it better and also I have dealt with Kenwood in the past and had nothing bad to say about it's quality.

Im not sure if I was reading your reply correctly, but my plan is to do away with the in dash cd changer completely... Is the wire required to hook up the LCD Receiver differant from a regular cd players wiring? I know they make the special factory amp wiring harness to connect an aftermarket cd. They have one at a local shop around here for $20.  Do you know where I can find the other harnesses if thats not the one you are speaking of. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciate man Thanks for your reply..

don't get the sony one... get either the clarion 935vd or the kenwood or an alpine, crutchfield actually has some alpine deals right now.. you can get cva 1003 and a cd changer and a dvd player for like a grand.. thats what i would do.. or buy the clarion from ebay thier like 1100 dollars brand new.. and that is like half off

I definatley would go with the Kenwood over the Sony, the Kenwood has a lot more flexibility, and also a better picture because it has a higher pixel count.

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, so I made your horn louder"
