this is a question for the seasoned installer:

I boyght a dei 660xp alarm w/ a valet remote start and a 5 wire door lock kit from ebay. The door lock kit didn't come w/switches. I've already got a couple of peices of info from misc. places, but would like to here what you guys can say.  Please if anyone has the time to give me step by step instructions in english it would be gresatly appreciated. Oh yeah its going in an '81 el camino.

what do you mean switches for the door lock kit?  did you want to mount your own switch to lock/unlock the doors when you are in the car?

the alarm remote will control the locking and unlocking of the car.

the lock wires in the chart are for el camino's with factory door locks.
