I've spend all day trying to make my alpine screen to work but that stupid "off for your safety " display won't go away. what can I do ? I hooked up my brake and e-brake wires but still does not work good, can I bypass the security feature? Thank you all...almost cry - Last Post -- posted image.

For alpine you will need to wire up a toggle switch to act as the parking brake/e-brake and a momentary switch to act as the regular brake. If you are having trouble getting the screen to work with the way it is supposed to be hooked up then check your connections and make sure that you tagged the correct wires. Also this has been discussed many times, so try to search and see if anyone else has had the same problem that you are having, you will also find more accurate description of how to bypass the brake wiring, just make sure it is for alpine only.

instead of having to go thru the hassle of the switching, you can try hunting for the bypass module.. it's what the store uses to demo the screens instore. i installed the one at the good guys i worked for a couple years back. it's a little black box that connects to the security wires and does all the switching on it's own.

i'll try and post a link if i can find one for ya
