I have a '87 ford econoline E150. i am runnng a 10 guage wire to the battery for use with an inverter. i have another 10 guage wire that i am going to connect to a good ground.
so coming from the inside of the car, which would be the best place to ground it, that can have enough current going through it, i dont know if thats problem with ground wires, but just to note. it would be good if anyone knows where there is a >1/4" bolt i can connect it to, as i have some little ring crimp ends for the wire, that would fit on a 1/4" bolt.
i need a good ground that will always be working, and i have about 6' of wire, so anything that i can reach from inside the car would work great.
thanks in advance.

I have installed many alarms into big simitrucks and have found that if you grind the metal clean somewhere that is convienient to just shoot a screw to ground will be sufficient.

I agree, also good to cover over the ground point with liquid electrical tape or just plain dielectric grease.

I would also reccomend something like a seat bolt or a seat belt bolt, thigs like those are often reinforced to the frame of the vehilce for safety reason's, so you know that anything connected to the frame is going to be a good grounding point. Just make sure the area is prepped by exposing the bare metal and try to keep your ground as short as possible.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, so I made your horn louder"
