I would like to know if I hook my dome light as a triger for my alarm do I have to put a relay on this to sense that if my door is opened the alarm will go off?

What type of vehicle?
What type of system?
On your system, is the door trigger input positive or negative or does it have both?

Use the negative input from your system to the vehicles
dome light wire. No need for a relay.
