i was wondering what the advantage of bridging two subs as opposed to running it left/right channels. i ask b/c i have just installed a pioneer deq-9600 GFEQ, and have a bi-amp system running 4 interiors and 2 subs. would i gain any more control over the sound characteristics by switching my subs to 2 channels instead of keeping them bridged?

Even if you had the balance adjusted to favor one side of the vehicle, since bass is nondirectional you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This is all of course assuming that you'd have it wired up in such a way as to put out the same amount of total power. Cuz a lot of times bridging an amp is the only way to max its power output.
