I'm trying to add a window rolldown feature to a 95 M3 using an EXT channel on my alarm. Since the switches go into a "body electronics module" how do I send this signal through? Has anyone been able to install a one button push auto windows open with/without a window module?

I've looked into tapping the window switches since they both have one-touch features, but there's only 4 wires coming out of the switch, Ground, Illumination (for lighting up the switch), Open, and Close. Taking apart the switch, it seems that both the open and close wires are at +12V, and when either is grounded, the windows open or close. The one-touch feature seems to work in a 2 or 3 step process: Ground Open, then Ground Close --> one-touch open. Reverse works for one-touch close. If I can't tap into these switches, can I tap into the wires to the motor coming out from the Control Module?

Plus does anyone know what else I need to do in terms of power for this feature? The window swithes only work with ignition on, and when the car is turned off, it works until the door is opened, then its cut. This electronics control module is agonizing.

what you want to do is rewire the window motors to bypass the electronic control module to go from the motor to the window module then to the switch. But you have to hook up the factory module to the motor wires or the window won't vent when you open the door.
