amp turn on lead

I drive a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LT with the Bose system.  I need help finding a 12 volt remote turn on wire for my amp.  I also heard that the Bose system runs at 2 ohms.  Is this true and how would it affect any future speaker purchases.

I'm pushing 2 15" Blaupunkt Overdrives with a RF 1000 watt amp.

The bose system runs at either 2 ohms or 1 ohm.  Either way, if you replace bose speakers in the future with aftermarket ones, the aftermarket ones are going to be about 1/2 the volume of the bose speakers because most aftermarkt speakers are 4 ohms.  the bose amps can handle the 4 ohm speakers just fine, it's just you'll have to turn it up a lot higher to get the same volume.  Also, unless all of the vehicle's speakers are replaced, the sound is not going to be balanced.

Usually the recommendation is to get an aftermarket 4-channel amplifier and all new aftermarket speakers, and basically run new speaker wiring to the speakers.  To integrate the aftermarket 4-channel amplifier with a stock bose head unit you'd just need to use an adapter like the VEN4, which will convert the differential low-level signal from the bose head unit into a signal that will work properly with an aftermarket amplifier.
