The system has a built in safety procedure that you must follow in order for the system to work with a manual transmission vehicle. Follow these safe gaurds and it will not start in gear.

well lets say that you are using the intellistart4 from clifford(dei) the remote start needs the e-brake to be engaged for it to remote start as for many remote starts but as for a way for it not to turn on if it is in gear there is no way the alarm could know, sorry, just leave it in neutral

" ----- NOT TRUE
The safest way to do it with a RS3 is to get a NSS from PAC. Look for it on there web page at www.go2pac.com
