I have installed the viper 790xv in my 2003 dodge quad cab truck. I am having trouble with the remote start. it was working fine but now it will start and run like three seconds and shut down. It is telling me on the lcd flash codes that it is not sensing the tach. What should I check for?? I think that I have the right wire for the tach hooked up, how do you tell??? Also when I arm and disarm the alarm, when I open the door the factory alarm will go off, how do I bypass that????

Thanks Kevin

there are no stupid questions, so always ask!!!!

tach wires: the easiest place to find it is your fuel injectors, thats if you can reach it for certain cars. probe with a voltage of 1-6v AC, the voltage increase when revving on the gas.
have you try usin voltage sense insteach of tach.
am assumin this is a Ram:
Factory Disarm Light GREEN/ Orange (-) Driver's Kick Panel tie it to the disarm wire.
i believe this car has a immobilizer, be sure to bypass that.
