I have a 95 thunderbird without the factory keyless entry pad, or the remote to open the doors/panic/trunk pop.
I bought this ford keyless entry system for 94-95 cars, it is made by ford, and it says it will work with cars as long as they have power door locks/ power trunk pop.
Mine has both.
I was just wondering if anybody has done one of these before. I'm assuming it would be "plug and play" but is there such thing, lol?
Anyway, if you guys are wondering why the heck i would get a ford keyless entry versus like a clifford or something. The reason is, that this unit was 45 bucks, and I really don't need an alarm, just keyless and trunk pop.
Any info would be great,
Thanks,
Justin

Not real sure what exactly you question here is..Will that work with your car? Yeah sure shouldn't be a problem..Is it plug and play? Not at all you'll have to locate all the wires yourself and connect to them. The closest thing to plug and play I've done was some factory mopar keyless entry systems on some chryslers which truly does plug and play with the exception of 1 or 2 wires that you have to connect. By the way that "Ford" unit you have there is made by Code Alarm..I do a lot of the code alarm ford stuff but haven't done an older unit like you have there in a while. Since your thunderbird didn't have factory keyless entry I believe you'll have to 5-wire the door locks. I don't remember if the older units incorporate switch and motor side wires for door locks but if not you'll need to wire in relays. Other than that the install on just a keyless w/ trunk pop shouldn't be TOO bad.
