Hi I have a 91 accord. The thing is my dad had the original Viper alarm system installed when he first bought it in 1990. Now the main module (black box) of the alarm doesnt work. All the wiring is still there and the starter kill still works but, keyless entry and auto door lock wont work. Is there any way to just purchase the box alone, or replace it. Thanks.

If you decide to just replace the entire black box itself, please do not throw the old one away. I will send you money for shipping to send it to me.

I'm kindof self teaching myself electronics, security to be specific. And I would greatly appreciate it if you could donate the old box to my cause.
Please dont throw it away.

Jayde, where are you from? I probably wouldn't have time to ship anything to you, but if you're anywhere near Boston, I can probably find some old stuff for you to mess around with.
HondaTypeSE, there are occasionally DEI alarms on eBay if you look around a bit. You may luck out and find that some or all of the plugs match up with the old one, but possibly not.

Unfortunately I'm not from anywhere near you, or probly anyone. I live in Po-Dunk nowhere North Dakota. That bites that you threw the box out. Guess I'll keep looking. One of these days I"ll run across another. I just cant hardly justify spending any kind of real money on something I'm just gonna rip apart and reverse engineer anyway... hehe.... but who knows.... If its interesting enough I might. Thanks anyway!
