find tach wire in Grand Prix 94

Hi...

Im installing the aladdin alarm, the only problem i have is with the tach... 

Where is it?

My car is a pontiac grand prix  1994

I know that the color is white or PURPLE / white

I conected the tach to a white wire behind the module ignition in the motor's area, but its engage the starter selenoid.

I need a a little bit of help to find it..

please some one know where locate it?  under the dash or in the engine compartment.  thanks

PURPLE / WHITE wire located at Ignition Module Location: 3.1L Early Production on Rear Of Engine, Late Production On Front Of Engine. 3.4L On Front Of Engine. Follow Spark Plug Leads To Locate

I have the Haynes repair book of my grand prix  94 and i get the correct tach wire, I have a friend that have a remote start alarm in his grand prix 95 too, and I saw in his car the same wire that i was taking, but it doesn´t work.

But  I resolve the problem taking the alternator wire better, and it worked.
