There should be just a relay that activates the DRL's in the passenger kick panel. It's a grey box that is marked DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS RELAY " . If the 1999 Corolla does not have this in this location, get someone to turn the car on and off and you should hear a click from the relay. * Make sure that the hand brake is not engaged for obvious reasons 1999 Corrola DRL Cut Out -- posted image..

It's amazing what you can find if you put your mind to it 1999 Corrola DRL Cut Out -- posted image. 1999 Corrola DRL Cut Out -- posted image.. Here's some info for most Toyota vehicles:

TOYOTA. From the Toyota technical service bulletin EL011-00 Web site for specific models determine where the module is; either the DRL relay or the body ECU, connector number, pin #. Oct 6,2000.

Avalon 1999 DRL relay D4 pin 1Avalon 2000 body ECU B5 pin 6Camry S/D 99* DRL relay D6 pin 23Camry S/D 00* DRL relay D6 pin 10 *twilight sentinelCamry Solara99/00* DRL relay D6 pin 23Celica 2000* body ECU B6 pin 17Corolla 99/00* DRL relay D3 pin 23ECHO 2000 DRL relay D2 pin 124Runner 2000 DRL relay D8 pin 2Land Cruiser 99/00 DRL relay D8 pin 2MR@ Spyder 2000 DRL relay D2 pin 12RAV4 99/00 DRL relay D17 pin 2Sierra 99/00 DRL relay D4 pin 2Tacoma 2000 DRL relay D8 pin 2Tundra 2000 DRL relay D7 pin 2

-disconnect battery- Then remove the wire with pin attached and tape to the harness. (consider just cut and tape the wire) -check operation- [except the 2000 MY-Avalon, additionally you need to ground the wire at the module end of the cut wire] does anyone know if there is a DRL relay that can be "fixed" ?
