I want to install some lights under a 2003 Ford Escape Dashboard (driver and passenger side). Does anyone knows what kind of door triggers, positive or negative, this vehicle have?

It is purple w/ a light green stripe in the 22 pin plug at the GEM module. GEM module is where circus boy said. Behind the panel to the right of the gas pedal. It is a negative trigger.

It is much easier to pick up this wire right in the kick. High in the drivers kick you can find like a 3 pin gray plug that has this wire. And the kick area in these is so open real simple to tap. No need to remove any panels either..Good luck
