I had a FM modulator installed with a toggle switch to turn it on and off. My question is..Is it normal to lose or have weaker radio station signals since it is in-line between the antenna and radio.?? is there something that I can do to correct the problem? Thanks ahead of time for any help..

If it's a good modulator and is properly installed it shouldn't cause you to have decreased reception when it's not in use. Just make sure when you're trying to listen to the radio that you turn off the modulator.

Some cars will need a special adapter because they use factory antenna amplifiers that need to receive a +12v signal to turn on, or else the reception suffers.

What kind of vehicle do you have?

it is the same 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser that you help me out the last time with keeping the factory amplifier. The modulator is turned off with the toggle switch..I did not install it so I'm not sure if it was installed correctly or not.

Is there something I should look for?

i have also ran into this problem. it ended up being just a bad modulator. but like esmith said, make sure that it is a good modulator. if you only paid a couple of bucks for it then it is probably going to suck. And if this is the case try investing in a better modulator. they even make a wireless transmitter modulator that works fantastic!
