ok. i have 2 6ohm dvc subs rated at 400rms 800max, my amp is only capible of handling 400x1 at 4ohm...200x2at 2ohm minimums, i seriously wannna know if theres a way to wire up the subs so that they do 4ohm for my amp, and get the 400watts from the amp instead of having wired them up for 6ohm.

what kind of subs are those? i have never seen a dual 6 ohm...or is it 3 ohm per voice coil?

ok, they're 2 12" MA audio d6, and the amp is RF 400S (2 channel) each voice coil is 6ohms

ok your subs will show 1.5 ohms parallel or 24 ohms series. you need a class D mono amp that is 1 ohm stable. if you keep the rf you will need to run it in stereo. parallel each sub to 3 ohms, and run it 2 ch. that is the only way you can run it with out overheating the amp. goodluck.

If you want a 4 ohm load and keep the RF, you will need to get 3 DVC 6 ohm subs.
