Ok, here's my problem...whenever I leave my car overnight w/the sound system inline fuse(fuse at battery) connected my battery gets discharged from a healthy 12.8 to the low 11's. But this happens only w/the inline fuse connected so every time I leave the car I have to keep opening the hood and disconnecting it(no power to system). What could be the problem w/my sound system?
Has anyone had a problem similar to this? Help me out guys!!
Also, this problem started around the same time I replaced my HU, I think wiring might be the culprit but not sure.
Car is a 1991 Integra batt is a Yellow Top HTH.

Another thing I forgot to mention...I get an alternator whine and a short thump from the subs whenever I turn the radio off but it goes away the second I turn it back on...there's also a thump coming from the subs as the whine stops and the radio turns on. After that there's no problem. not sure If it's related or not. Still needs to get fixed thoughBattery Drainage -- posted image.

It looks like the remote wire from the HU could be shorting or the headunit is still sending power down the remote wire after being shut down, amps would therefore remain switched on and continue to draw stand by power. Use a multimeter to measure voltage across the remote and earth when Hu is switched off, reading should be zero, or check if amp lights remain on after HU is off.

I need more power.....
