I'm looking to put a sound deadener in my 97' Civic Lx. Should i use Dynamat or are there any other cheap alternatives? Ive heard of brown bread but I dont know if its any good? Where are the best places for the deadening material. Ive never done it before just seeing what everyone thought

There are a lot of alternatives but I would have to recommend Dynamat extreme.

I would defiantly use Brown Bread. I have tried many deadeners and I only use brown bread on my installs. If you plan on doing the whole car (interior and trunk) I would suggest about 140 sq/ft. You can  purchase it here http://b-quiet.com/brownbread.html I would suggest that you also order 2 rollers which are used to press the matt to your cars surface.

I will also reccommend brown bread, even over DynaXtreme...
it has superior adhesion qualities and at least equal if not better sound deadening qualities...and its not as much money, so why waste your dollars?
