MY car is a japanese car so there is only one actuator on the passenger door but no actuator on the driver's door. I've connected an actuator on the driver's door along with a central door locking module and the two door lock wires from my Lynx 2000R to the module. At first the whole central door locking system works but after a few days, it only locks! what is wrong??

what type of car is and also what type of door lock system did you put in the drivers door.

You may have broken actuators (slight possibility). I would say to pull the actuators, and test them. Put one wire to ground and the other to 12v, and see if it moves. Then reverse the wires, and test again. I've blown actuators before, and it would only move one way and not the other. Just an idea.

The easiest thing to do in this case would be to remove the relay system that you have the actuator connected to and check these connections with a power supply, this will tell if you are dealing with a faulty relay(s). If this doesn't work then check to verify that the actuator that you installed is loose and moving after a period of time, thus not giving sufficient movement to engage the passenger door actuator.

in the first place, how can there be no actuator in the driver and have it on the passenger? its either power or none. did you buy this car used?

I am assuming it has only an actuator in the passenger door b/c the door locks in both doors are operated by either the key or the actual locking rod in the driver's door. i.e. Mazda Miata etc..... cars can have electric door locks but only have one actuator..
