I was reffered to MB Quart RCE 216's by a different member here and I am now having second thoughts.  I think I'll need to save a little money and the 216 model is a bit much.  So I began to look a little further down the list and came along these to.

Now in your opinion which pair of 6.5's are the better choice.  I am looking for quality but I also want a door speaker to provide decent mid-bass.  I will probably have around 90watts rms going to each speaker.

Also another newbie question:  I am going to buy these speakers before I buy the amp.  Would it be alright to run these speakers directly off my old aftermarket head unit or should I wait and install both the amp and speakers at the same time?

my personal experience tells me that MB Quarts are very good peakers.  i used to have a pair of 6 1/2" coaxials in my front doors, and they sounded very good.  jl is newer to the 6 1/2" market, so i would suggest that you get the MB's

toyota echo...perfect sound named vehicle

Thanks for the input, I was worried my topic would sink to the bottom with no replies.

Anyone else have a opinion on the two?
