I recently purchased Kciker k525's to replace stock 5.25's in the rear.  My question is can I install this directly to my head unit (35x4 max) without damage to the head unti or speakers.  I currently cannot afford buying  an amp at this moment and was wondering if it's possible.

Or would it be wiser to hold on to the speakers and wait for an amp.

The speakers say 6-45 watt rms

You won’t get the best sound out of them but you can power them off your head unit. I would also suggest that you take it easy, if you start to hear distortion turn it down a couple of notches till the distortion goes away.
