hardest part of becomin an instaler is?

i plan on taken my mecp in the next year or two, but once i have that...i wanna know whats the hardest part of becomin an installer.

any pros think they got an answer id be much apreciated

i am havin the hardest time getting a hold of a mecp study guide book everywhere i look is out of stock any help

Yea I agree with the comments others have posted.  Also I think that the hands-on experience is key because a lot of the time, half of the work is just taking apart the vehicle in order to install/remove different stereo components;  and as you do more and more cars you learn how each one is built and how to take each one apart.

Also I'd highly recommend you keep up to date with this site and try to post on here regularly because I know many people (myself included) have learned an incredible amount of stuff on here since we became regulars on in the forums.  That kind of stuff is admittedly not hands on but still it  has always helped me a whole bunch because it's stuff I've been able to apply to everyday work.

i was lucky and started in the repair field at the local shop. i began hanging around after work and watching the installers and they were nice enough to teach me alot. when it came time for me to do something to my vechile they would watch and i would ask but they made me do everything myself. so start by getting to know some installers before you go head on into the mecp test and stuff like that. i learned a long time ago the mecp test doesnt teach u jack about how to put a stereo in. it is just a knowledge test on wiring and theory. i might know the theory of flying but i aint flying anything without HANDS ON exp.
